Privacy Policy

What information the current website handles, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors.

LAST UPDATED: 7 SEPTEMBER 2026 • RIBBSAETER RECORDS

1. Current privacy position

This policy describes the Ribbsaeter Records pages on ribbsaeter.com. The site currently operates as an editorial, catalogue, and shop preview. Contact delivery, newsletter storage, customer accounts, and payment checkout are disabled; submissions to the inactive contact and newsletter endpoints are not stored or sent.

Before any feature begins collecting personal data, this policy will identify the responsible legal entity and contact details, the exact purpose and legal basis, recipients and processors, retention period, any international transfer safeguards, and the rights available to you.

2. Information handled on your device

The shopping-basket feature stores the product identifiers and quantities you select in your browser local storage under the key “ribbsaeter_cart_v1”. This keeps your basket available on the same device. The information stays in your browser and can be removed by clearing the basket or the site data in your browser settings.

3. Server and security data

Like most websites, hosting and network providers may process limited technical records such as IP address, request time, requested page, device or browser information, and security events to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. These records should be retained only as long as operational, security, and legal needs require.

4. External platforms

When you follow a link to YouTube, SoundCloud, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Mixcloud, or another service, that provider receives information under its own privacy policy. The current site uses outbound links rather than embedded social players on its main catalogue pages.

If Stripe checkout is activated later, payment-card details will be entered on Stripe-hosted payment services and will not be stored directly by this website. Order information needed to fulfil a purchase, provide access, prevent fraud, and meet accounting duties will be described before checkout opens.

5. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and a complaint to the relevant data-protection authority. These rights are not absolute and may depend on the reason information is processed.

Use the Contact page for a privacy request. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed. No fee is normally charged unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive where applicable law permits a fee.

6. Children

The site is not directed to children and does not knowingly request personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided information through a future active service, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where required.

7. Changes

This policy will be updated before contact storage, newsletter delivery, analytics, accounts, or commerce becomes active. Material changes will be shown by the date at the top of this page.
